Data Quality Analyst
A full time position at Triton Digital, Montréal QC, Canada
We are looking for a Data Quality Analyst to join our audience measurement team in our Montreal office. Our team is focused on adding value to Webcast Metrics (WMC) and Podcast Metrics, our cloud based digital audio monitoring and measurement services (radio, podcast, and online music services). WCM provides credible, validated data that enables live and on-demand audio publishers to quantify their audience at global, national, and local levels. Portions of our Webcast Metrics data are accredited by the Media Rating Council (MRC).
Our goal is to be the global leader in measurement, ranking and analysis in the digital audio industry, providing information and trends that benefit publishers. To achieve this, we rely on our mastery of "Big data" technologies and the outstanding talent of our team.
The Role
Reporting into our Measurement Product Manager, you will use your skills and experience to; build reports and tools that will improve the quality of our measurement services, verify and analyze data and ensure our clients and teams understand the data provided. You will be responsible for producing our monthly public rankers, for monitoring our services and for minimizing and simplifying the operational workload within the team. You will work with a highly skilled and motivated team where your efforts and expertise will have a direct impact on framing and solving some of the challenging devops problems we face. Data is at the core of what we do at Triton Digital, both in providing data-driven metrics to our customers, and in analyzing our user behavior to improve the product experience and enable us to better manage our business. We are open to junior applicants with relevant educational background and experience.
The Responsibilities
Data Analysis
- Create global and regional digital audio listening rankers using podcast and webcast data.
- Research insights about the digital audio industry and publish them in our monthly rankers.
- Help internal & external clients to better understand their metrics and build value from them.
Quality / Operations
- Perform daily maintenance/monitoring tasks including automatization and optimization of such tasks.
- Perform quality assurance of all data.
- Investigate, validate, analyze and communicate data issues, directly with internal and external clients.
- Resolve any level three technical investigations/escalations related to data or distribute to the appropriate team member.
- Think out of the box to help Triton to build and support the best digital audio measurement solutions out there.
- Write /create/update documentation and procedure.
- Assist product team as needed, to deliver quality product.
The Requirements
You must have:
- Relevant experience in a data analysis, technical customer support or quality assurance role.
- Relational database querying experience (SQL).
- Strong skills in Excel (vlookups, pivot tables)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (French an asset).
- Curiosity and interest in continued learning with a high level of autonomy and resourcefulness.
- Strong attention to quality and details.
- Strong client skills with ability to handle confidential information discreetly and maintain confidentiality.
Having one or more of these skills is an asset:
- Experience with AWS cloud resources.
- Understanding of statistical principles.
- Experience with quality assurance (QA).
- Experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI).
- Experience in the media, digital marketing or measurement industry.
