Product Manager - Podcast Monetization

A rarity in digital media, podcast advertising drives results for advertisers, allows creators to profit and (when done well) entertains listeners. Spotify — through its growing ads business and ongoing investment in original audio content — has the outstanding opportunity to amplify and scale what’s great about podcast ads by building the first truly digital podcast ad experience.
We are looking for a hardworking and experienced Product Manager to define the next great podcast ad experience. In close partnership with sales, product marketing, content creators, and creative solutions, your team will develop outstanding tools and insights for advertisers, delightful formats for listeners and powerful monetization options for creators.
We are working towards a world where more creators can profit from their craft and advertisers can depend on podcasts as a core channel to reach their customers.
What you'll do
- Build new podcast ad experiences that tie what’s great about podcast ads today with the power of digital advertising platform
- Develop a point of view of the current advertisers, creator, and listeners podcast experience and how you hope to impact it
- Collaborate with product, engineering, design, and data science teams to gather feedback and requirements and better understand the future of the product
- Ensure the squad understands the vision and roadmap; collaborate with engineering to break down and prioritize the work into a backlog
- Influence strategic direction for the whole organization
- Define and measure OKRs
- Establish user feedback cycles and partner with design to plan and run user research sessions
- Collaborate with other product managers and leads in the organization to achieve cross-squad outcomes
Who are you
- You have 5+ years of experience working as a product manager, or similar role, in high performing, cross functional teams that have shipped products at scale
- Experience managing and building ad experiences
- Experience analyzing and working with advertising campaign data
- Confident in your sophisticated technical knowledge of advertising and large-scale distributed systems
- Experience building consensus across large organizations
- Passionate about helping drive decision making with data inside a complex organization
- Demonstrate strong leadership, communication and relationship building skills
- A great teammate with a proven ability to work cross functionally
- You crave responsibility, but are willing to step back and support your team to achieve success; you lead by exampleYou have an ability to operate effectively and autonomously across multiple teams in situations of ambiguity, with only high-level direction
- You are passionate about continuous improvement of products, processes, and teams
