Executive Podcast Producer

We are looking for a passionate, experienced and professional Executive Producer to help us on our mission to grow a sustainable podcast business. Our Executive Podcast Producer is involved in the development of the Nordic podcast strategy, is the primary point of contact for talents and our production company partners, and is managing the production process for Spotify original audio shows.
What You’ll Do

Content Creation and Intake

You are the primary point of contact with production companies and talents during the development of new original podcasts – from concept to completion; overseeing all elements of production with freelance or third-party producers

You review content for quality, compliance, and conflicts, maintaining our commitment to first in class execution

Ensure that all shows are produced and distributed on time and on budget

Responsible for internal relationships necessary to complete goals and metrics

Identify and explore new themes, show concepts, mentor producers, and give effective and actionable creative notes and final approval to producers and stakeholders

You work with producers on the detailed day-to-day work, overseeing on-air talent to make sure each show is successfully completed

Project Management

You’ll be the point person for all post-contractual, day-to-day communications with audio content partners

Oversee content ingestion & takedown, placement & promotion, data & insights

Onboard partners with Spotify systems (i.e. contracts, payments etc.)

Ongoing admin around partnerships business details

Ensure those project deadlines and budgets are met, communicating and seeking approval of any changes to these

Proactively work with partners on audio show selection for Spotify

Keep the team and partners up to date with relevant information regarding each project

Contribute to strategy for new content partner acquisitions

Feeding back all suggestions for improvement and market research to senior staff from outside partners

You’ll collaborate with teams across Spotify including licensing, communications, marketing, tech ops, programming, analytics and more to make our shows sing!
Who you are
- A passionate pundit of podcasts, music, TV, film and pop culture
- You have a lot of experience in storytelling and creating content
- You have a solid understanding of the development and digital technologies
- At least 7 years of work experience in producing or/and partner/account management or partner facing experience in entertainment, traditional or digital media
- You have the ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally as well as communicate and collaborate with all types of personalities
- Organized, with strong attention to detail and time management skills
- You have a deep understanding of how to develop and manage budgets, invoicing, vendor setup and expense reporting
- You are a team player who can also perform solo when separated by distance and time-zones
- Willing and able to travel frequently regionally and internationally
