Here at Somethin’ Else, we’re rapidly expanding our original podcast output.

We’re currently looking for an experienced factual producer to work on our narrative podcasts. Over the last year, our documentaries team has been responsible for such recent hit podcast series as The Sun King with David Dimbleby, Unheard: The Fred and Rose West Tapes, and Putin: Prisoner of Power.

The successful candidate will join this fast-growing team, developing and producing factual narrative podcasts for a global audience.

The role will involve:

-Producing factual narrative episodes and series -Sourcing, interviewing and recording contributors -Editing, scripting and scoring episodes -Working alongside journalists and presenters as well as executive producers and assistant producers -Generating and pitching ideas

We’re looking for producers who have:

-2-3 years experience in audio production or TV or film production -Strong and creative story-telling skills -A love of audio and wide ranging podcast listening habits -A passion for uncovering great stories -A particular interest in long form narrative storytelling -A strong understanding of what makes a compelling podcast -Strong organisational skills and experience of keeping to schedules and working to deadlines. -Experience of working collaboratively with talent and with a team
