Senior Radio Producer (Sport)
A full time position at Prison Radio Association, Manchester Cheshire, UK
Salary: £31,000 (yearly rate)
We’re looking for a Senior Radio Producer with a sports specialism, to run a brand new grant-funded production project for National Prison Radio. You’ll also make additional partnership productions across a range of subjects. This is a varied and rewarding role for the right person.
As key members of the PRA team, our Radio Producers are the people at the front line, using their highly-developed production skills to create life-changing content behind bars.
This brand-new role will deliver programming to empower, inspire and motivate people in prison to participate in sporting activities and exercise within the limitations of prison coronavirus regimes. Alongside this, you will produce additional content for broadcast across the NPR schedule.
The role is based at HMP Styal, a women’s prison, but programming will be relevant to men as well as women. The post-holder will split their time between being home-based and working in our offices in HMP Styal. As coronavirus restrictions ease, more time will be spent at the prison, while during periods of high restriction, more time will be spent at home.
You'll work in a highly stimulating environment with people who have stories and experiences to share with others in similar situations using the power of radio.
