Little Everywhere is seeking a Senior Podcast Producer. This is a full-time position based out of our Los Angeles office, reporting directly to Little Everywhere's Executive Producers.

Duties:

Production/editorial: Production duties large and small: booking and conducting interviews, writing, editing, field-reporting, crafting stories, mixing, cutting tape, monitoring the work of external contributors, and mapping out the ways to bring a story from the seeds of an idea to a final edit. Assist in storyboarding and structuring shows, helping to clarify show tone. Work alongside Executive Producers in shaping new show ideas. Senior Producer should be highly skilled in ProTools, should have advanced expertise when it comes to every aspect of podcast production, and should have the capacity to mentor or train more junior producers in order to bring them up to speed.

Production management: As the roster of shows grows, the Senior Producer will be increasingly called upon to map out production calendars and assess productive capacity and staffing needs. The Senior Producer will work closely with more junior producers to delegate production tasks, troubleshoot editorial issues, and identify opportunities to restructure or enhance stories.

Project management: The Senior Producer will help develop and coach long-term projects and give editorial and production feedback on a regular basis as well as convene regular production meetings to keep creative and executive staff on track. The Senior Producer will also synthesize feedback from Executive Producers into instructions for more junior production staff in order to define and execute the production strategy of the business overall.

QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of podcast production experience in a fast-paced, collaborative media environment.

Strong project and time management skills and the ability to define and meet stringent deadlines.

Strong communication skills, the ability to clearly express expectations with fellow producers and enhance stories, identify characters, stakes, troubleshoot narrative issues, etc. Ability to problem solve in deadline-driven environment.

Ability to quickly turn around a creative product with attention to detail. Ability to quickly adapt new story edits and synthesize critical feedback.

Expertise using ProTools, cutting tape, booking and conducting interviews, mixing, etc.

Proactive, team-player. We seek someone who shows initiative.

EDUCATION:

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Interest in pitching and developing new shows. Familiarity with Little Everywhere's content and the tone and atmospherics of our existing shows.

Interest in people management. High emotional intelligence and ability to inspire and elevate the work of other producers.

Adherence to journalistic ethics and high standards for fair reporting.

Dynamic on-air personality. Senior Producer may have opportunity to host future shows or shepherd their own show ideas.
