Director, Audience Growth

Lemonada Media is seeking a full-time Director, Audience Growth to lead our audience growth strategy nationally and internationally. The Director will report directly to the Vice President, Marketing & Growth and will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and broader marketing and growth team, as well as the Chief Creative Officer and broader production team.

This is a key position that will lead our audience growth goals for each show and our broader network. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who can build long-standing relationships in the industry, who is goal-oriented and data-driven and deeply inspired by our mission and the ability of audio to reach millions and change the world.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead the efforts to launch new shows and grow existing shows successfully, including through traditional PR activities in-house and out-of-house, as well as building the brand of individual shows/hosts continuously, even as our network grows exponentially each year.

• Collaborate with the CEO and CCO, as well as VP, Operations & Finance and VP, Production to set ambitious and feasible audience growth goals that are data and action-driven, and based on best practices as well as innovative, new ideas.

• Work alongside our partners at Westwood One to leverage external and internal opportunities to grow together.

• Collaborate with a braoder marketing team, including an art director, social media manager and freelance illustrators, videographers, writers, etc., toward KPIs in audience growth and beyond.

• Lead efforts to understand the global podcast market and Lemonada’s unique role in international growth of existing and new shows.

• Build partnerships in the audio / media space for Lemonada by developing a network and presence and staying abreast of best practices in the industry to fuel Lemonada’s growth and brand, including seeking out opportunities for conferences, organizational learning and professional development, and awards. Required competencies

● Track record of success managing from strategy through execution on big goals for audience growth

● Experience managing partnerships in podcasting and other media

● Ability to use data strategically

● Strong goal-orientation, including setting and achieving ambitious and feasible goals by both creating a data-driven plan and executing it (while managing peers to do the same)

● Flexible mindset

Employment Logistics

We offer competitive salaries that are commensurate with experience. We also intend to offer stock options that vest over time as part of a total compensation package associated with this role. Lemonada offers health benefits and three weeks of PTO to all full-time employees.
