The Role
We’re looking for a Producer / Sound Engineer who can work across Audiocraft’s podcast productions. In this role you will help develop, create, and deliver high quality branded and original podcasts that reflect our commitment to rigorous audio storytelling and high quality production values.
The most important thing is your curiosity, positive attitude and love of the audio medium. We work closely and collaboratively, and there are lots of opportunities to grow and learn. The position is a 4-day in a week role and is based in Sydney. The salary package is $75,000 pro-rated (includes statutory superannuation).
Responsibilities
- Sound design, mixing and mastering of podcasts of varying formats and styles (Protools or Reaper preferred)
- Support Audiocraft productions – research and development, preparing episode outlines and briefs, field recording, studio recording, interviewing, scripting
- Work with the Audiocraft team to develop original podcast ideas that can be pitched to local and overseas commissioners
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment, champion Audiocraft’s values and help Audiocraft grow into a company that can have a positive impact within industry
Skills and experience
- 3 + years experience using ProTools, Reaper or a similar audio editing program
- 3 + years experience working on narrative and/or interview based podcasts
- Demonstrated commitment to high quality production values and a genuine passion for audio storytelling
- A highly organised worker with exceptional attention to detail and high level multitasking
- Experience working in deadline oriented environments
- Ability to take on feedback and grow in the role
- A self-starter who works well both independently and collaboratively
- A great verbal and written communicator
- A team player with an interest in helping Audiocraft grow into a business that can have a positive impact within industry
- An avid podcast listener with a passion for creative approaches to sound.
